Summary

This trial will compare 2D and 3D concussion education to see if more knowledge and empathy is gained, as well as increase the intent to report a concussion.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for health professions students and student-athletes at least 18 years old from Concordia University's Ann Arbor or Mequon campuses. It aims to assess their knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding concussions.
What is being tested?
The study compares the effectiveness of concussion education delivered in two formats: traditional 2D versus immersive 3D Virtual Reality. Participants will be randomly assigned to one format and will receive CrashCourse Concussion Education and Brain Fly-Through.
What are the potential side effects?
While not typical with educational interventions, some individuals might experience discomfort or dizziness when using virtual reality equipment.

During their in person study visit, participants will complete a brief ( \~5 minute) pre-survey before viewing the CrashCourse and Brain Fly-Through concussion educations. Participants in this group will receive both of these educations in 3D (via a Virtual Reality headset). Participants will then be asked to complete a brief ( \~2 minute) survey to assess their knowledge, self-efficacy, and empathy surrounding concussions.
