Summary

This trial uses a special device to study how stimulating a part of the brain called the amygdala affects fear and memory. It involves patients with epilepsy who already have this device implanted. The device can both record brain activity and send electrical signals to help researchers understand these effects. The device is used to treat epilepsy by monitoring brain activity and sending signals to reduce seizures.
