Summary
This trial aims to help older people move better by testing if wearing special devices on their ankles can improve their walking ability. They will also see if using these devices on the ankle, knee, or hip
Who is the study for?
This trial is for older adults with sarcopenia, which means they've lost muscle mass and strength. Participants should be interested in improving their walking ability. Specific eligibility details are not provided, so generally healthy older adults looking to enhance mobility may apply.
What is being tested?
The study is testing two approaches: one where participants walk with added resistance at the ankle to strengthen muscles, and another where they use wearable devices that assist movement at the ankle, knee, or hip to improve walking.
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves physical training and wearable devices for assistance, potential side effects might include muscle soreness or fatigue from resistance exercises and discomfort or skin irritation from wearing the devices.
