Summary

This trial will test whether a video on HIV and HIV tests is as effective as an in-person presentation with an HIV test counselor in delivering information to Spanish-speaking HIV test recipients.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for Spanish-speaking Latinos aged 18-64 who can consent to participate. It's not suitable for those with severe visual or hearing impairments, prisoners, the critically ill, intoxicated individuals, those treated for acute psychiatric illnesses, mentally incapacitated persons, or participants in HIV vaccine trials.
What is being tested?
The study is testing if a video in Spanish about HIV and its testing methods is as effective as getting this information from an in-person counselor. Participants will receive either the video or live presentation.
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves informational videos and presentations rather than medical treatments, there are no direct side effects associated with the interventions being studied.
