Group I: Emergency preservation and resuscitationExperimental Treatment1 Intervention
These subjects would undergo the complete EPR protocol, including rapid induction of hypothermia, resuscitative surgery, and resuscitation with cardiopulmonary bypass.
Group II: Concurrent controlsActive Control1 Intervention
These subjects would undergo standard resuscitative efforts.

Eligibility Criteria:
This trial includes the following eligibility criteria:- The person showed no signs of life for more than 5 minutes before emergency medical procedures were started.You have a severe injury that is not survivable.You have signs of a serious head injury, like a major change in the shape of your face or head.Your heart has stopped beating.A quick evaluation of the injuries shows severe damage to a lot of body areas or blunt trauma to many parts of the body.You have a serious injury with a lot of bleeding.The person shows signs of life at the scene, like having a pulse, breathing, moving on their own, or reacting to light with their pupils.You didn't have a pulse for less than 5 minutes before reaching the emergency room or while in the emergency room or operating room.If you had emergency chest surgery and did not regain a pulse in the neck arteries right away.

This trial has the following groups:- Group 1: Concurrent controls
- Group 2: Emergency preservation and resuscitation

This trial has 1 awards, including:- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
