Summary
This trial tests if 7T MRI can detect central nervous system tumors better than standard MRI. It could help find & diagnose tumors and measure patient response to treatment.
Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults with new or suspected recurrent central nervous system tumors, including gliomas and metastases. Participants may have had previous treatments like surgery or chemotherapy. They must have a tumor of at least 5mm that's visible on an MRI scan and not be pregnant, claustrophobic, allergic to contrast agents used in MRIs, or have renal failure.
What is being tested?
The study is testing the effectiveness of a high-resolution 7T MRI scan compared to standard MRI scans in detecting and monitoring brain tumors. It aims to determine if the newer technology provides clearer images for better diagnosis and treatment evaluation.
What are the potential side effects?
There are generally no direct side effects from undergoing a 7T MRI scan itself; however, some individuals might experience discomfort due to lying still for long periods or anxiety within the confined space of the scanner.

Eligibility Criteria:
This trial includes the following eligibility criteria:- You are unable to have a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan for medical reasons.I have a newly diagnosed brain tumor or cancer spread to the brain that is at least 5 mm.My doctors suspect my cancer has returned and agree it looks like it's recurring.Experts agree I likely have a brain tumor or cancer spread to the brain.I have a history of cancer in a solid organ and may have cancer spread to my brain. You have certain types of implants or medical devices that can't be used with MRI machines, or you have conditions like pregnancy, kidney problems, or claustrophobia that can make getting an MRI unsafe for you.I had brain cancer or cancer spread to my brain treated, but recent scans suggest it might be getting worse. You have metal objects inside your body that could be unsafe during an MRI scan.
