Summary

This trial will see if patients with some kidney function will do better with two hemodialysis treatments a week, instead of the usual three.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for stable dialysis patients who can consent to participate. It's not for those who've used antibiotics in the last two months, expect to use them soon, were recently hospitalized, or have very low residual kidney function (<2.5 mL/min).
What is being tested?
The study compares the effectiveness of hemodialysis twice a week versus the standard three times a week in patients who still have some kidney function left.
What are the potential side effects?
Potential side effects may include cramping, low blood pressure during treatment, fatigue after sessions, and possible changes in remaining kidney function.
