Presence of moderate to severe spatial neglect
Have a history of one stroke event that injured one cerebral hemisphere
Must not have
History of progressive neurological disorders

Summary

This trial is testing a virtual reality system to help people with spatial neglect, a common problem after stroke.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for English-speaking stroke survivors who have spatial neglect due to damage in one side of the brain. They should live within 50 miles of West Orange, NJ. Those with severe psychiatric or progressive neurological disorders, or a history of vestibular problems cannot participate.
What is being tested?
The study is testing a new virtual reality (VR) therapy game designed to help improve attention and awareness of space in people who experience spatial neglect following a stroke.
What are the potential side effects?
Since this is not a drug trial but involves VR technology, potential side effects may include dizziness, nausea, eye strain, or disorientation immediately after using the VR system.
