Summary

This trial will help researchers understand what keeps people with HCV from getting the treatment they need, and how to better support them.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults over 18 with a positive Hepatitis C antibody test and a history of substance use disorder. They must have an elevated Hepatitis C RNA indicating active infection but cannot have had prior treatment for Hepatitis C.
What is being tested?
The study tests whether support from peer specialists and vouchers for phone, transportation, and meals can help people with Hepatitis C engage better in their treatment process, potentially reducing the drop-off between diagnosis and care.
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial focuses on providing educational resources and logistical support rather than medical interventions, there are no direct side effects from medications being tested.
