This trial will assess if virtual reality can reduce pain and distress during medical procedures while lying on your stomach.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults over 18 who need a pain procedure at the University of California Davis Pain Medicine Clinic, can speak English, and understand instructions. It's not for pregnant women, prisoners, or those with motion sickness risks, seizures, or hearing/vision problems.
What is being tested?
The study tests if using a VR headset helps reduce anxiety and pain in patients lying face down during pain procedures compared to those without VR. The effectiveness of this distraction method is being evaluated.
What are the potential side effects?
While the trial itself doesn't involve medication that could cause side effects, using VR may lead to discomfort like dizziness or nausea especially in individuals prone to motion sickness.
