Summary
This trial is testing a new therapy that uses augmented reality to help people with chronic hand pain from arthritis. The therapy shows visual illusions to trick the brain into feeling less pain. Researchers will observe changes in patients' pain levels and opioid use after using the therapy. Virtual Reality (VR) therapies have shown promising results in managing both acute and chronic pain by providing cognitive distractions and inducing neurophysiological changes.
