Summary

This trial will study brain activity in Parkinson's patients with deep brain stimulation to improve speech perception and production.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for English-speaking adults aged 18-85 with Parkinson's Disease who are scheduled for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) implantation. Participants must be able to understand the study and follow instructions.
What is being tested?
The study aims to gather data on brain activity related to speech in Parkinson's patients during DBS. Researchers will use this information to better understand how DBS affects speech perception and production.
What are the potential side effects?
Since the intervention involves collecting brain signal data rather than a medical treatment, traditional side effects are not applicable. However, there may be risks associated with standard DBS procedures.
